Sin Twister Featured In The Rocky Mountaineer

Piss Off Records, September 13th, 2013

Sin Twister was the focus of a pair of articles that ran in The Rocky Mountaineer on September 3rd and 10th, 2013, in conjunction with their performance at the Boys And Girls Club on the 7th.

"Bringing rock to the masses is no easy task, but Central Alberta based rockers Sin Twister look like they were born to do it.  Much like Motorhead, who have been pounding out high-speed tunes for 38 years, Sin Twister has developed a distinct sound, yet have an ability to flirt with several genres without losing the element that makes a song uniquely Sin Twister..."

Sin Twister Debut Album Available Now!

Piss Off Records (February 2013)

After what seemed like a lengthy wait, Sin Twister's debut album is available for purchase. The CD boasts 13 songs, produced by Steve Hamilton, engineered and mixed by Shaman Crowe and mastered by Joao Carvelho (Toronto). The release is a real testament to the perserverance of a true rock and roll band. From line-up woes, to scheduling conflicts and virtually everything in between, it almost seemed at times as though the demo mixes we had been cranking might be as good as it got! Thankfully, Sin Twister were not so easily defeated. Throwing off the challenges with a shrug, the band have curbed many naysayers with a strong first effort.

Having ironed out the cast, Sin Twister have obviously been focusing on the soundtrack. From the ganglike beatdown of the opening track Hideaway, to the demonic conclusion of the thirteenth and final track Get Upstairs, this album ebbs and flows like a nightmare motorcycle ride through Hell. Songs like The Devil's Line and (I Don't Wanna) Go Home To My Home Sweet Hell are destined to become radio favorites, while Triple Ex-Girlfriend lays out some of the best innuendo since STPs Sex Type Thing. You will be hooked long before you start asking what it  might be about and by that time it won't really matter any more anyway! With vocals akin to Faith No More's Mike Patton and songs that flirt with one genre alongside the next, Sin Twister rock throughout the almost hour long CD. There is plenty here for everyone. Anthemic punk rock (The Force Of Habit), guitar masteration (Sin Twister), R&B (Titillation), new blues (You Could Make A Grown Man Cry) and so much more.

If you have been growing tired of the latest generation of rock bands and their lack of originality, then Sin Twister is exactly what your rock and roll doctor ordered. Click here to fill your prescription today!

Isaac Hankinson Promoted To Head Roadie!

Piss Off Records (July 2014)

Long time Sin Twister alumni Isaac Hankinson will no longer perform as Bassist for the group after having been promoted by the band from his current position to that of Head Roadie. "It's been a long time coming," said Hankinson when asked of the news. "Finally I am being recognized for my efforts for the band. All these months of busting my ass, showing up early to load gear and constantly maintaining the road gear has paid off."

Sin Twister are truly impressed with the effort that Isaac put forth over the last year and in wanting to show him how much he meant to us as a group, we felt that the best way to do that was to let him know that he was well and truly more than just a Bassist to us. The position of Head Roadie is a huge step up. We wish him nothing but the best of luck in his new position!

The last scheduled appearance with Hankinson on bass duties will be Saturday, July 26th at the Heavy Metal Dirt Races in Breton, AB. Sinners are encouraged to come out and congratulate Isaac on his new role!

Great job Isaac, fare thee well!
